FEES & INSURANCE

Let’s make the practical
details easier.

Questions about cost shouldn’t have to stay unanswered. Talk with us about insurance, self-pay, and the rate for the therapist and appointment type you’re considering.

Insurance we accept

Mindful Healing Counseling accepts the following insurance providers. Please confirm your specific plan and clinician’s participation before scheduling.

  • Aetna
  • Florida Blue
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • UnitedHealthcare
  • Cigna

Ask about your expected out-of-pocket cost, any deductible, and whether the appointment type you’re requesting is covered.

Prefer to pay directly?

Self-pay appointments are available. Rates depend on your therapist and session type. Call (727) 303-2523 or use the appointment link to ask about the current rate before you book.

Using a superbill

A superbill is an itemized document from your therapist that includes details an insurer may need to review an out-of-network claim, such as service dates, provider information, charges, and billing codes. You pay the practice and submit the document to your insurer according to your plan’s instructions. Reimbursement depends on your benefits and is not guaranteed.

Three steps to explore reimbursement

  1. Check your benefits. Ask your insurer whether you have out-of-network mental health coverage, whether your clinician is eligible, and what deductible or other conditions apply.
  2. Ask us for a superbill. We can provide the documentation for your eligible services.
  3. Follow your insurer’s claim process. Submit the superbill and any required claim form, then review the insurer’s decision. Keep a copy for your records.

Your insurer determines coverage and reimbursement. For an example of insurer guidance, see Aetna’s explanation of out-of-network benefits.

Common cost questions.

Does accepting my insurance mean my session is fully covered?

Not necessarily. Your cost depends on your plan, benefits, deductible, copay or coinsurance, the service, and your clinician’s participation. Confirm these details before your first appointment.

Can I pay without using insurance?

Yes. Self-pay is available. Contact us for the rate for your therapist and appointment type before scheduling.
